Project: Blue Lake Park, Fairview Oregon
Blue Lake Park is a popular regional park that receives thousands of visitors per day in the summer. The project revamped the park’s main entryway to decrease visitor wait time while enhancing its appearance. MZLA managed a multi-disciplinary team to design new entry driveways, fee booths, and landscaping. The project included wider lanes and three new entry booths to replace the two existing booths, allowing visitors to enter the park faster. Other features of the project included new plantings, walls, fences, gates, signage, irrigation, stormwater swales, and supporting electrical work. The team created construction documents and cost estimates and obtained the necessary permits from Multnomah County for the implementation of all improvements. Construction completed by summer 2015 with minimal disruptions to park users.
