The existing Learning Garden located on the PCC Sylvania campus lacked organization, ADA access, visual interest, ease of maintenance, and did not provide the wide range of teaching and learning opportunities that the faculty desired. MZLA created a new master plan for the Learning Garden to provide for outdoor teaching areas, raised beds for vegetables and classroom experiments, a large gathering area, paved ADA accessible main pathway, a grape arbor, space for chickens, and a cob oven.
